CANOE CLUB CHRISTMAS DINNER!
We will meet in JC's at 7pm to begin with some nice mulled wine, then walk/taxis to the Rhyddings Hotel where we have booked the main room! there will be santa hats and crackers and a enormas roast dinner!
The cost is just £15 for a delicious three course dinner AND we will then be proceding to WALKABOUT on Wind street where we will have our own function room and FREE champagne + Disco dancefloor !
This is not an event to be missed people!
The Menu :
Starter
1. Homemade broccoli & stilton soup served with hot crusty bread and butter
2. mini Camembert served with hot crusty bread and cranberry sauce
3. Mushroom pepperpot - mushrooms is a peppercorn sauce served with hot garlic bread
4. Prawn Cocktail - served with crusty bread and butter
Main Course
(all served with seaonal vegetables, crispy roasted potatoes, yorkshire puddings and stuffing)
1. Roast Turkey served with pigs in blankets and stuffing
2. 8oz Rump steak with a cranberry and port sauce
3. Salmon en Croute salmon fillet in flaky pastry
4. spinach & goats cheese tart with mushrooms and cranberries (V)
Dessert
1. Chocaberry Pie
(chocolate biscuit base with layers of delicious chocolate and clotted cream mousse and topped with fresh cranberries, redcurrents and rasberries)
2. Hot Chocolate fudge cake ! served with vanilla icecream
3. Christmas Pudding served with brandy sauce or cream
4. Cheeseboard (assorted cheeses with crackers, pickles and garnish)
Please give your £15 to Polly BEFORE friday ! and comment on this wall with your menu choices (eg starter 1, main course 2 and dessert 3) also let us know of any dietry requirements/allergys.
i will be at pool session on tuesday night collecting monies, I am also in the library on tuesday and thursday & pool session on thursday. so no excuses :P
dress code is formal - dresses and heels for girls, shirts and ties for guys. you are welcome to bring your girlfriend/boyfriend/ one night stand but please ensure you also give us their menu choice and money.
