Pool Sessions

You must attend at least one Pool Session before attending any open water trips - even if you're the best Kayaker we've ever met!

We meet thrice a week at the Wales National Pool on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 and 10pm, general sessions are £2.50 each, polo sessions are £3. Term passes are available for general sessions which most members purchase.

For the first few weeks of term Friends of SUCC will operate a minibus shuttle service from Bay Campus to the pool.

Please turn up to pool sessions 10 minutes before they start as we have to carry kit from the boat shed to the pool. For your first pool session you should meet in the entrance area of the Wales National Pool, future sessions you should go to the shed.

The Pool

We use the Wales National Pool for most pool sessions and have our own fleet of pool and some play boats which are used for the sessions.

The pool is within walking distance of the main University Campus and you can get to it by Bus from the Student Village, the bus stops at Singleton Hospital which is a short walk over the road to the pool.

If you use What3Words the door to our shed is dreams.fine.towns and the entrance to the swimming pool is deck.cabin.metro.

The shed is near the pool in this area as shown by the picture:
